A love story: Taylor + Lizz

Today we want to share a love story with you. This will be the first of many to come. We are so privileged to work with some of the most amazing, sweet and fun brides and grooms in the world. This will give you a glimpse into their hearts, what brought them together, how their love grew and how we got to play a special part in their forever.

In the beginning…

As a freshman at the University of Georgia, Lizz went to her very first football game to cheer on the Georgia Bulldogs. Before the game, she saw a performance of the Redcoat Marching Band’s Drumline. Little did she know, but a few short years later she would be standing with this drummer on their wedding day!

Love grows:

Over the next 5 years, Taylor and Lizz grew closer together and knew their had found their soul mates. In the words of Lizz…

I believe with all my soul that God created me for Taylor and that he created Taylor for me. Since I was a little girl, I’ve prayed for the man that I would marry and I couldn’t be happier that the man I will marry is Taylor.

She said YES!

On September 24th, 2011, little did Lizz know but she was about to become the star of the show in a very unexpected way.

As part of a baby shower for a friend, Lizz and her family and friends went to see the musical, Motherhood. At the end of the show, the cast and crew came on stage and thanked everyone for coming. Then, the asked everyone from the Gray Baby Shower to come on stage!

I looked at my parents and Dan (who was sitting next to us) to see if this was a serious request. For some reason, Taylor was not making eye contact with me at this point.

Next, Taylor walked out on stage holding a sign that read, “Lizz, will you marry me?”

Amidst the tears, confusion and sheer joy, she said, “YES!”

Planning their ever after:

Lizz had a clear vision for her wedding. When she came to me for our design meeting, we had so much fun looking through florals, colors, and tons of pictures.
