What could be sweeter than an intimate wedding in your family home surrounded by those you love?
I give you the wedding of Juan and Fallon. They had planned the most beautiful and luxurious of weddings for early in 2020. Once our nation was ripped with the devastating affect of COVID-19, Juan and Fallon had some decisions to make. Like so many couples, they had to choose between waiting for an unknown amount of time to have the wedding of their dreams or choosing a small, intimate affair with just a few of their loved ones standing by.
Together, Juan and Fallon decided an intimate home wedding was the way to go. Facing some family health issues that arose throughout 2020, it was made even more evident that an intimate home wedding was just the way to go. But wait…
Juan knew his bride would be heartbroken about sacrificing her dream wedding. In the end, getting married is the ultimate goal but he wanted to give her the wedding of her dreams.
Working closely with their planner, Sweet Magnolia Weddings and Event, we all collaborated with Juan on every single detail on how to transform their new home into the most beautiful of wedding spaces for their intimate affair. Jaun wanted no stone unturned for his sweet bride. We all poured over her Pinterest images and pulled every detail from conservations she had had with their planner before the pandemic arose. We came up with the prettiest of plans.
Fallon would get ready at another location that morning while my team came in to their home and did a complete wedding makeover. We turned the family room into the prettiest of ceremony locations in front of this beautiful window.
We draped every possible surface in lush greenery to create a soft and elegant garden vibe. A beautiful, fresh wreath hung on their door to welcome the bride home.
The scene was set and the home was completely adorned. It was time to have the big reveal! Fallon arrived home just in time wearing the most beautiful of wedding gowns. She was greeted by her soon-to-be-husband who escorted her to the front door.
Upon arrival, it took er breath away. She was speechless as she saw the stairs draped in greenery. She then took in the lush mantle design with candles and greenery in their new family room. Finally, turning the corner, she beheld the prettiest of ceremony sites just as she had always imagined.
Juan and Fallon said “I do” in front of their immediate family that day and it was more than perfect. We loved every part of being behind the scenes for this intimate wedding surprise!
