This blue wedding inspiration set in the foothills of the north Georgia mountains will have you dreaming of blue hues for your big day.
When WINEY BLONDE EVENTS contacted us about doing this beautiful inspiration, I couldn’t help but get excited over the colors and the richness.
the inspiration
The venue, Pleasant Union Farm is not only a wedding venue but also a working blueberry and flower farm. It is the perfect escape to not only have a peaceful, intimate setting for your wedding day but also the high end, sophisticated look you are going for. They wanted a chance to show what the farm is known for which is their beautiful blueberry fields. What better way to do that than when Pantone announced their color of the year as classic blue! Perfect, right?
the details
Each place setting featured beautiful copper cups filled with the berries from the farm and set so beautifully on custom place settings by The Prissy Plate Company. We chose a soft, gauzy runner by Silk and Willow to create the perfect backdrop to our colorful tablescape.
the florals
The florals we chose for this blue wedding inspiration were simple, clean and happy. They were truly the abundance of late summer and the gorgeous dahlias stole the show! Being a grower myself, I couldn’t help but get excited when my beautiful peach dahlia plant burst in to bloom the week of this shoot. That beautiful prized dahlia is the star of the show in this summer bridal bouquet. The ranunculus, the bachelors button, the thistle…they all had their moment to shine and the way the deep pinks popped off the of the muted blue dresses was truly a showstopper.
the impact moments
We adorned the arbor in lush blooms with bright pops of color. The lush greenery danced in the north Georgia sun and it was truly the perfect day for Sydney Bruton to capture all of the gorgeousness.
We even had a spectacular moment created on the entryway staircase to the brand new deck at Pleasant Union Farm. Choosing areas of impact is so key for focussing your budget and design plan for your wedding day. This north Georgia wedding feature was no exception. The beautiful stairwell became a grand focal point and all the heart were in order.
the reception
Let’s not forget the walls dripping with smilax and beautiful touches of hanging votives. It was the perfect backdrop to the estate table at this mountainside wedding inspiration.
the cake
We finished out the evening with the sweetest ending of beautiful cakes designed by My Cake Lady Lynne. The beautiful copper painted cake and the blueberry inspired faultine cake had us all ready for desert! We added some simple bright and colorful pops of floral and the table came to life.
