Let’s face it, 2020 has been a doozie and being in the middle of a pandemic has made it quite interesting around here.

Insert our beautiful couple Emily and Ben.

Melanie and Alex had a traditional, garden-inspired wedding scheduled for May of 2020. When the pandemic hit, we kept trucking along hoping for the best as the months rolled by.

About a month out, I had a very heartbreaking conversation with the mother of the bride about the reality of what the wedding date would look like. Melanie was set on still going through with her original wedding day at her original venue but with modifications of course. Surrounded by her closest family and friends, Melanie and Alex said “I do.” It was sweet, intimate and simply perfect.

But wait, that’s not the end! This sweet couple wasn’t giving up their dream to celebrate with those they loved. We all watched the Covid numbers drop and by August, these families were ready to safely gather and celebrate the newlyweds.

Melanie had the most romantic all white bouquet featuring fluffy garden roses and luscious ranunculus. I added a few touches of soft greenery to round out the garden look and it was a beautiful compliment to her elegant dress.

Her beautiful designs featured white, seasonal bloom with touches of soft pinks and champagne. Stems Atlanta was in charge of full event design for this beautiful day so we assisted the client in choosing the most beautiful linens from our collection.

The lovely setting of The Biltmore Ballroom brought everything together. Just look at those chandeliers!!

Isn’t her sister the sweetest waiting on her beautiful baby?! I loved getting to know this family.

The evening was spent dancing by candlelight with the sounds of the live band serenading the guests.

It may not have been what you imagined but oh, what a celebration it was. Congrats Melanie and Alex! If your relationship can thrive through a pandemic, you are destined for a lifetime of love and happiness!
